Luton Transfers

ADL Enviro200s 2120-2 YX09 HYY/Z, HZB have transferred to Luton depot earlier than planned ready for operation of new town service 33 to begin around Luton from the 5th January 2015.

They have come from Aylesbury depot and have had there fleet names changed to BRAHAM from the old TravelAylesbury ones they used to carry.

Fleet Update

Since our last blog post a number of changes have occurred across the fleet with them all being listed below:

Aylesbury depot

Wright Eclispe Urbans 3223 YJ07 PCO and 3224 YJ07 PCU have been taken out of service but will return to service at the beginning of January. 

Optare Solo 2115 YJ54 UBP has been taken out of service with mechanical issues.

On the 4th January, Enviro200s 2120-2 YX09 HYY/Z, HZB and Optare Versas 3206/7/9 YK08 ESN/O, YJ57 EHY are to transfer to Luton for new routes and as vehicle replacements.

Luton depot

Crimson Enviro400s 5675 KX64 RHF, 5676 KX64 RHG, 5677 KX64 RHJ and 5678 KX64 RHK have now all arrived at the depot ready for Crimson route 58 to begin in January. 

Crimson Enviro400 5681 KX64 RHP has been given route branding along with extra promotional wording.  The promotional wording will be removed before it enters service.

On the 4th January, Enviro200s 2120-2 YX09 HYY/Z, HZB and Optare Versas 3206/7/9 YK08 ESN/O, YJ57 EHY are to transfer here for new routes and as vehicle replacements.

Great Yarmouth depot

Enviro400 5688 AU64 BFV has returned to the depot to 'crimson' specification with 5687 AU64 BFR now away receiving similar treatment.

Service Changes from the 5th January 2015

There will be a number of service changes across the group taking place on the 5th January 2015. They are listed below:

Aylesbury depot

New route 17 to begin between Aylesbury and Bicester via Bicester Village

Routes 16 and 613 to be taken over from Arriva

 

Route 100 between Aylesbury and Milton Keynes to be withdrawn

Luton depot

Route 990 between Luton and Milton Keynes to be withdrawn

New 'crimson' route 58 between Luton and Hatfield via Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City to begin

New Luton town route 33 to begin

Southampton depot

Route 13 to be extended to serve Lordswood and the Princesses Anne Hospital

Latest Repaint

The repainting of the Luton fleet is continuing slowly with the latest of them being on Mercedes Benz Citaro 3901 BD12 DHG which is normally allocated to route 82.

Crimson Updates

Great Yarmouth

Enviro400 5686 AU64 BFP has retuned despite being later than originally planned with Enviro400 5688 AU64 BFV going in the opposite direction for similar treatment.

Luton

Enviro400s 5679 KX64 RHL and 5680 KX64 RHN have now arrived at the Luton depot in preparation for the launch of route 58 in January.

Luton Arrivals

Two new additions to the Luton fleet are Wright Eclipse Gemini 2s 5710 BK10 MFU and 5711 BK10 MFV which have displaced the last two single deckers on route 823. The increase in capacity has been introduced due to complaints of full loadings along the route.

They will enter service on route 823 tomorrow morning.

Brand New Arrivals

More brand new buses have arrived into Braham Buses Group fleets but this time at Aylesbury and Luton depots.

Aylesbury depot

Two brand new 29 seated ADL Enviro200s have arrived here for the take over of route 25A between Oxford and Bicester on the 1st December. These are 2148/9 OU64 DGE/F with one of these being the spare to the route to comply with Oxford's LEZ.

Luton depot

Eight brand new Enviro400s are currently in the process of arrived for the launch of new route 58 between Luton and Hatfield via Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City which will operate every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday. The new route is to be under our new 'crimson' brand.

So far, 5681 KX64 RHP has arrived and it will be used on driver training along with 5682 KX64 RHS which is currently on loan to Great Yarmouth depot to cover for the refurbishment of there own Enviro400s.

Another Crimson Enviro400

The second 'crimson' Enviro400 has arrived back at the Great Yarmouth depot ready for the conversion of route 10 between Norwich and Lowestoft via Acle and Great Yarmouth (operated in partnership with BetterBus). This one being 5684 AU64 BFN.

5686 AU64 BFP is currently away receiving the same treat and is expected to be away for another week.

Changes At Southampton

We have recently seen the arrival of three Scania OmniCities at out Southampton depot. These are well travelled 3273-5 YN03 UWF-H, which have previously seen use on loan at Thetford and Aylesbury.

Plaxton Centros 3321 YJ07 JSU and 3322 YJ07 JSV are now withdrawn despite being newer than there replacements. These both still carry there old fleet numbers (321 and 322).

Enviro400 Arrives At Great Yarmouth

Enviro400 5692 AU14 DLY has arrived at the Great Yarmouth depot after a slight refurbishment and a repaint. It will be used on route 10 between Norwich and Lowestoft via Acle and Great Yarmouth and will work alongside the 64-plate examples.

Enviro400 5684 AU64 BFN is currently away having similar treatment as route 10 is due to be the next route to be launched as part of our new 'crimson' brand.

Other Brand New Buses

In the past week, we have mentioned other standard specification Enviro200s are due to enter service today at two of our depot; Aylesbury and Norwich. At our Aylesbury depot, we have put four brand new Enviro200s onto our 321 service between Aylesbury and High Wycombe. The buses are:

3252 OU64 DFP
3253 OU64 DFR
3254 OU64 DFT
3255 OU64 DFV

At our Norwich depot, we have put three brand new Enviro200s onto our 35 service between Eaton and Thorpe End via Norwich City Centre. The buses are:

3265 AU64 RLU
3266 AU64 RLV
3267 AU64 RLX

 

All of these entered service for the first time today.

Crimson Route 20 Between Norwich and Thetford

Today, we have been launching our new route 20 that will be operating between Norwich and Thetford from our Norwich depot. Route 20 will be the first Crimson route in the East with another due to be launched in the coming months. For route 20, we have brought five brand new Crimson specification Enviro200s with one of these as a spare.

3260 AU64 RLO - Crimson 20 livery
3261 AU64 RLP - Crimson 20 livery
3262 AU64 RLR - Crimson 20 livery
3263 AU64 RLS - Crimson 20 livery
3264 AU64 RLT - Crimson Norfolk livery

These will enter service on Monday with another three standard specification Enviro200s for Norwich route 35.

More Deckers For Luton

Many complaints have been passed through our Luton depot about a poor service being provided on the 823 service and the lack of seats on the buses which operate the service. To rectify this we are upgrading service 823 to double deck operation. So far, Volvo Olympian 5744 N36 JPP and Optare Spectra 5921 YG02 FWD will be helping out on the service with two more double deckers due shortly.

Latest Fleet News

Four new arrivals to the Braham Buses Group fleet are four ex-Stagecoach London ALX400 bodied Tridents. They are 5624-7 LX04 FXV/W, FYA/B with 5624-6 being based at Luton depot and 5627 being based at Norwich depot. 5627 also carries free Wi-Fi so that it can see use on Norwich Park & Ride services.

At our Devises depot, Optare Solo 2140 Y875 PWT has been taken out of service and withdrawn.

 

At our Norwich depot, Enviro400 5676 SN58 CGV has been allocated to Norwich's Sprowston Park & Ride service. This is due to 5692 AU14 DLY having been sent for refurbishment and repaint into our new 'crimson' livery. 5676 is not a permanent replacement.

At our Luton depot, the latest vehicle to arrive from repaint is inter200 3123 OY64 GDN which has also been given route branding for 'The 51'.

Crimson route X60 launch

Today, we have been launching route X60 in Aylesbury's Kingsbury Square and we will be there until 3pm this afternoon. Tomorrow, we will be doing the same again at Buckingham Bus Station, however we will be without a bus.

Due to this we have found it fitting to upload pictures of the X60 buses onto out blog. All of the allocated Enviro200s have 38 seats and are based at our Aylesbury depot. They are:

3256 OU64 DFX - Crimson Aylesbury Vale
3257 OU64 DFY - Crimson X60
3258 OU64 DGA - Crimson X60
3259 OU64 DGB - Crimson X60

They will all enter service on the 3rd November with four other standard Enviro200s at Aylesbury. Crimson route X60 will also begin on the 3rd November.

Luton BRAHAM

Today BRAHAM Luton's Scania Omnicitys have returned from repaint into the BRAHAM corporate colours they are 3276/7/8/9/80/1 - FD02 SDX/Y/EY/YS03 SHN/P/YN54 AHL.

 

 

 

As I have made the nets here, I've decided to attach an up-to-date fleetlist of luton to keep you all updated. Some arrivals at the depot are ex- London ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents. They're all spare buses which are due to stand in from time to time on routes 61/X61 and 99.

As you can see Luke renumbered the fleet for us into his new fleet numbering system. 

I will post nets of the ALX400s later and hopefully the Citaros at the same time.
