Thame Town Services Taken Over

As of tomorrow, we will be taking over the Thame Town services from Arriva the Shires due to a contract change. Also in the contract it says that we cannot use any buses that are older than ten years old. For the routes we have brought Enviro200s 2161 MX62 APK and 2162 MX62 APO, however, only one of these buses will be used at a time.

They will both be based at our Aylesbury depot.

New High Wycombe Depot

Tomorrow, our new High Wycombe depot is set to open with the first two routes being route 40 to Thame via Stokenchurch and route 56 to Booker via Desborough Avenue.

Route 40 will use two buses and will operate every hour. It is set to be allocated with Wright Pulsar 2's which have been at Aylesbury since they arrived with us. They will be 3705 YJ62 JZG and 3706 YJ62 JZH with similar 3707 YJ62 JZR also going to High Wycombe as a spare. For the time being, sister 3708 YJ62 JZT will be staying at Aylesbury to cover for repaints.

Route 56 will be using one bus and will operate every 20 minutes. It will be operated using one of a pair of Temsa Avenues brought from Cross Counties Transport with the other acting as a spare. They are 3951 YJ11 GHF and 3952 YJ11 GHG.

We have plans to expand this depot within the next few months

Repaints and Branding

At Aylesbury depot, Enviro200s 3252-5 OU64 DFP/R/T/V have been given route branding for route 321 to High Wycombe. Two of the 'Crimson specification' Enviro200s, previously used on the X60, will also gain route 321 branding upon repaint into standard fleet livery.

Enviro200s 3257/8 OU64 DFY, DGA are currently in use at Aylesbury in unbranded 'Crimson' livery. All four 'Crimson' specification Enviro200s at Aylesbury will be repainted  into standard fleet livery with 3259 OU64 DGB currently away.

Loaned Enviro200 2999 YX62 EEY has now repainted to Alexander Dennis with similar 2153 OU15 CKD returning to the Aylesbury depot.

At Salisbury depot, Mark1 Enviro300s 3291/2 RX57 GOE, WX58 PFK are withdrawn with 3350/1 SN57 DXC, SN08 AAF, in the more commonly used design of the Enviro300, being sent to Salisbury in the new Wiltshire Buses livery as there replacements.

Not all Wiltshire Buses vehicles will be repainted into the new livery with only buses that are due a repaint or that are to join the fleet being repainted into the new livery. Most of the buses that are due repaints are older members of the fleet inherited with the take over of the fleet last year.
